What you see above is Page 1 of our Recorder's Book, at the Charter Meeting of our Council #1767.  It was held
                  on November 29, 1914 and commenced at 2:00 PM.  Elected that night were the Grand Knight, P.N. Smith;
                  Paul Fuchs was the new Deputy Grand Knight; Otto Oswald was the Chancellor; John Bauman the Recorder;
                  Andrew Schaffer was the Financial Secretary; George Schaffer the Treasurer; Joe Keber the Advocate; Joe C.
                  Schneider the Warden; Henry Saalfeld was the Inside Guard; Bruno Schmidt was the Outside Guard.  The 1st
                  Year Trustee was Clem Schneider; Henry Berning for 2 years and the 3rd Year Trustee was George May.

             John W. Ebner, Joe Keber and A.A. Klinger were selected to draft a set of by-laws, and to secure "a suitable hall
                  for meetings."  That night, Fr. Dominic, current pastor of St. Mary's Church in Mt. Angel and Chaplain of the
                  fledging KC Council stated, "(this council) is a promising child that some day would be a great man."
